CBC Batting Barn:

  •      Keep the barn clean when you leave. We are all volunteers here and don't want to clean up after you.
  • • Do not tape pitching rubbers to the floor. This causes the floor to be permanently damaged.
  • • Do not adjust the heat! It is set at 65 degrees.
  • • Do not open the barn for anyone else. Any damage done during the time your in the barn is at your expense.
  • • You are not permitted to bring in non-paying members to the batting barn. You are permitted to hire your own hitting or pitching coach and bring him/her with you to the barn.
  • • Loaning your key card to another will result in loss of all batting barn privileges without refund.
  • • Each registered batting barn member may schedule a slot 2 times per week.
  • • Non-registered children are not permitted in the batting barn. (No unregistered siblings.)
  • • No food, seeds, gum, tobacco or alcoholic products are permitted inside the facility.
  • • Respect the people around you.

Key Cards

  • • Do not give your key card to anyone else. It is assigned to you and your code is embedded in the key card and will tell the barn administrator how many times you have used the barn in any given week.
  • • If you lose your card, your code assigned to the card will be deleted so no one else can use and a $25 replacement fee will be charged.
  • • All key cards must be returned to CBC once teams are assigned to the barn normally in March/April.  Failure to return will also cost $25.

Reservation Rules

  • • Do not sign out all of the lanes in the batting barn under 1 name. You can only reserve 1 lane under your name. The administrator will remove (unreserve) any names identified more than once in a single session.
  • • Reservations are first come, first served based on date, time, and online confirmation.
  • • Do NOT assume you have the Batting Barn until you receive an online confirmation.
  • • Batting barn memberships may be purchased by Canfield Baseball Club members ONLY.  A member is a player who has registered, paid a fee, and played during the past spring baseball season for the Canfield Baseball Club, or otherwise as set forth in the by-laws.
  • • A reservation comes with access to one of 2 areas within the Batting Barn. There is 1 area for batting (Area A) and one area for throwing (Area B).
  • • Reservations are limited to two 1-hour blocks during a week (Sunday through Saturday) and can only be made up to seven days in advance. It is at the discretion of an Executive Committee person of the CBC whether to allow more than two 1-hour blocks during a week if additional times are available.
  • • Canfield Baseball Club is not responsible for any injuries sustained while using the facility. Bat and throw at your own risk.
  • • No one may enter the Batting Barn until he/she has registered online and signed a waiver. All participants must have a signed waiver on file. Participants under age 19 must have waivers signed by their parent or guardian.
  • • A participant must wear a helmet.
  • • Only two people may be in a Batting area at a time. It will consist of a pitcher who is throwing behind the netted L screen and the batter, who is wearing a helmet and standing at the far end from the pitcher.
  • • No practice swings are allowed outside the Batting Barn area.
  • • A participant must exit the Batting Barn after the scheduled time.
  • • CBC is not responsible for any participants lost, broken, or stolen property.
  • • Please report any unsafe behavior or broken equipment immediately to either the CBC president or vice president of grounds.
  • • If no other participant is there after you complete your session, you are responsible to close and lock all doors and turn off the equipment and lights of the batting barn.
  • • Any violation of these rules will result in the participants immediate ejection from the Batting Barn or CBC facility and may also result in long-term loss of the participants CBC membership privileges.
